As a mum to a little boy who struggled hugely with his sleep, I can truly empathise with parents when they come to me desperate for change and more sleep.
My little boy had reflux, so he spent the first months of his life contact napping or being held upright on our chests. He couldn’t be put down in his crib and we ended up co-sleeping through necessity rather than choice!
Fast forward 12 months and I was exhausted, had no social life and was the only one who could do bedtime as he had to be fed to sleep. I struggled with returning to work and found myself frustrated at the impact tiredness had on me day to day.
